NOT ONE NOT TWO
Amongst the silent houses you will hear the sea, the hum that tells the tale of a woman, born on the day Medusa was heard laughing.
An independent creation by the Collective Not One Not Two
Looks, touches, rhythms. “Foley” is a contemporary circus piece that is guided and accompanied by exquisite live music. Five acrobats and a musician explore the highs and lows of togetherness. Initially the artists move according to the rhythm set by the music, but soon they question the imposed mood. A red AUX cable interweaves through the entire piece, at times creating chaos and entanglement and other times unifying the group. The piece is full of surprises, flowing through different worlds to themes of vulnerability, trust, light-heartedness, and playful silliness.
'Exploring Identities' - A contemporary circus show examining the theme of identity over the course of one hour. In the theatrical production “Exploring Identities” a group of young artists illuminate how your life and identity can be shaped by the different decisions you make. Following different forks in the road can create parallel worlds. Who am I? Who do I want to be? Who can I be? The audience can await a mixture of breathtaking partner acrobatics, as well as elegant and whimsical moments on aerial silk and trapeze. Light and Video effects enhance the hour long performance. The show was performed in Berlin, Graz, Linz and Bleiburg and is available for booking.
Photo Session with handbalancing artist Kerstin Oschabnig, founder of Cameo Acrobatix. Cameo Acrobatix offers customized aerial acts for corporate events, gala shows and festivals and performs internationally as acrobatic duo or trio shows. The artistic work also consits of performing and co-creating contemporary circus productions with artists of different fields.
Angela Cory (AUS) has the blues — and you can feel it when she sings. Starting out in Sydney's punk scene, she became the frontwoman of rockabilly/rock’n’roll band The Jukes before moving to China, where she spent five years performing with blues/soul band BuZuiBuGui 不醉不归 and collaborating with UK DJ DSK and the Lost Soul Collective. In Berlin, she formed the retro R’n’B/soul band Strangers by Day, releasing Polyesterdays (2014). After a break composing music for film and theater, Angela is back in Berlin’s blues scene. Influenced by icons like Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, Sugar Pie DeSanto, and Irma Thomas, Angela delivers powerful, soulful R’n’B vocals — but she can turn up the heat when it’s time for rock’n’roll.
Atomic Fruit - Video production. Blending psychedelic rock, trip hop and desert blues, Atomic Fruit defies the divide between rock and electronic music. With effects-laden guitars, dreamy vocals and mesmerizing grooves, the Berlin based art rock group takes the listener on a journey through different soundscapes as their songs develop and evolve. Marked by ominous harmonies and suggestive lyrics, their music is a response to the modern world — our attempts to control and understand it, the ambitions that quickly become our undoing, and the life-affirming power of transcendental experiences.
The Performing Acrobatix Programme “DUO” was a three-week intensive training in partner acrobatics held in Berlin. The course offered professional coaching in hand-to-hand and dynamic partner acrobatics, complemented by dance and theater classes to enhance on-stage performance skills. Over the three weeks, each duo created or developed an act. On the final day of the programme, participants had the chance to share their work in a live performance. The course was led by Fernando Melki and Fifi Rosenblat from Barcelona (partner acrobatics), Marion Sparber and Alan Fuentes (shared levitation), and Francesco Procopio (theater).
Contakt - Aux
Looks, touches, rhythms. “Aux” is a contemporary circus piece that is guided and accompanied by exquisite live music.
The piece fuses various partner acrobatic disciplines such as hand to hand, icarian and group acrobatics, as well as erasing borders of traditional lifting and flying gender stereotypes. All music- beatboxing, instrumentals and vocals are recorded and mixed live on stage with a loop station.
